Continuing Education Grants

To provide financial assistance to NELA members for conferences, courses, institutes, seminars or other study opportunities not leading to a degree, including NELA programs. The award may subsidize up to a maximum of $1,000. Scholarships are awarded twice a year as long as funds are available. Retrospective awards are allowed. Applicants must be a NELA member. Now accepting spring 2024 applications!

 Graduate Study Scholarships

To provide financial assistance for students pursuing graduate education in Library and InformationScience. The award may subsidize up to a maximum of $1,000. Scholarships are awarded twice a year as long as funds are available. Retrospective awards are allowed.  Now accepting spring 2024 applications!

Deadline: July 12, 2024

An applicant must be:

• A New England resident.
• A NELA member at the time of receiving the scholarship.
• A full or part-time student: (a) who is enrolled in a degree program at an ALA- accredited library school or (b) who is enrolled in a state-certified school library media program.
• The applicant need not be an entering student.
